Open gardens June '23

On a warm summers day, 9 people opened their gardens and a plant stall  was erected on the green. It seemed that the whole village grasped this opportunity to socialise as there was a continual flow of people through the gardens and £557.50 was raised for the Wingate centre in Wrenbury.

The Great Willington Litterpick, 2019

The Great Willington Litterpick, 2019

On  Sunday 24th March, eleven pairs of willing hands took to the highways and by-ways of Willington armed with litter pickers and rubbish sacks (and clad in fetching hi-vis vests) to tidy up the local hedges and verges. At least eleven large bags of rubbish were collected over a couple of hours (some 'pickers' took theirs home) and in addition the footpath between Pebble Cottage and The Hob was cleared of weeds and swept. A splendid job all round. Thank you to all the volunteers.
